As much as I like blaming owners, there are troubles in dogs that come from being separated from their mom too soon (that's caused by the breeder, not the owner), and some come from psychosis either from a glitch in the brain or psychological trauma. Happens to humans and dogs. I didn't say you didn't do your best, but an expert could have helped and you or the current owner could know what was wrong. Do understand what "no i mean bite, it bit me and we got rid of it" usually means for dogs.

the hearding group are a wonderful breed of dogs. We have Canaan dogs and could not ask for a more natural dog. Love them!!!!

Just because yours bit your ankles or whatever doesn't mean all will #1 and #2 clearly you weren't working him good enough. Hopefully he went to a more active home that gave him the time he needed.

I have 2 GSDs. Our female is intelligent and used to nip. She also bit my sister's finger (she was drugged & had been in the vet for a week), but we didn't just get rid of her.
