  • I am going to national and worldwide Jamboree's but next year I can either go to Philmont or Northern Tier which one?

  • Well that depends what you want to do.

Philmont has lots of actives like horse back riding, shot gun, or mountains climbing. another is scene the wildlife is very used to people you may see some animals like bears. Also you don't have to carry all the food you'll need though the entire trek.

NT is very wilderness. You won't see many people (unless it 4th of July weekend) or wildlife. You can change your route if you want to get more or less miles. Also you can swim at just about any time....

  • although the waters at some lakes can be very cold.

down sides to NT: You have to carry all the gear, food, and trash that you get or accumulated though the trek. Also the MISQUOTES are mutants. They go though 100% deet so if you go some other type of insect repellent that's not deet, use it!

overall they both have there perks. I guess it would come down to it whether you like Hiking or canoeing more.

  • im going there wednesday

  • well hope you have a great trip

  • Oh, and if you plan to film your trip, I recommend the Waterproof 'Action Cam' by Oregon Scientific. It's about $150.

  • hm.... I'll think into that.

  • Im goin in about 2 weeks.. Are there many rapids?

  • I was there in July and we camped at the same campsite shown at 0:32! So good to see the places again.

  • We used misquotes nets that really help, especailly when portaging since the misquotes like to get up under ur canoe and attack ur face
