The original song of Forever Sensei, "Kyomo Genkide" (Today Too, in High Spirits) was first performed by the Shirayuri Chorus at
the Soka Gakkai women division leaders' meeting at the Nihon University Auditorium in Ryogoku, Tokyo, in August 1968.
President Ikeda said, "This is a wonderful song. Let me take the lead." Dancing in a graceful manner, President Ikeda took the
lead with composure. Filled with dynamism and passion, this song became popular among SGI members throughout the world.

  • Nothing different from communists or nazis anthems.

  • This music inspire me to want to be a better person. Sensei, my shining eyes thanks to you!

  • i am a fortune baby and i love the sgi

  • SGI is not a cult, we only follow President Ikeda as our mentor in life.

  • @rbsvy91368

SGI members do care about the members. But you have to take action for your own faith as well. If you have questions or concerns, you should address them with the leaders in faith. If there are leaders that you are not comfortable with, then ask for another leader. Also remember that WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING WITH OUR OWN WEAK NATURE and you may have some over zealous members who believe that they are doing the best they can to help the members. HAVE SOME COMPASSION. ....;-)

  • @rbsvy91368 SGI members do not have a blind devotion to Pres Ikeda, it's about uniting behind the leader(s) of our organization in order to carry out the major task of speading Nichiren's Buddhism through out the world. In order for any organization to be effective in its goals, the members must unite behind it's leader. Unity based on the teachings of Nichiren Diashonin is a must. Pres. Ikeda's gives his all with his guidance and encouragements to helps members apply NMRK to their lives .

  • @MrImmekus

The SGI is an organization dedicated to World Peace.

  • coralzjing, don't be ridiculous. sgi has completely perverted the teachings of nichirens lotus sutra buddhism. more like ikedaism. they rob their own members of the possiblity of attaining buddhahood in this life. m/d,human rev, and interfaith are not the teachings of the l.s. or nichiren. if you are serious about nichirens buddhism and not just into cults seek elsewhere. i recommend the kempon hokke, but, any place is better than the sgi.

  • @romysan1 Can't blame you for misunderstanding. I guess many people are fearful of religions, because there are some grps that misuse the practices & lead the followers to commit inhumane acts.

ultimately, faith in a religious teaching, a deity or material goals like status and money...it all leads to happiness. ppl have faith becos they believe thru that, they can be truly happy.

cults are groups that only focus on their belief & reject others. SGI embraces all ppl, regardless of religion.

  • @Zelkon1120 YES. Chanting is only half the battle won towards overcoming life's obstacles. Through chanting, we strengthen our conviction that 'I MUST change my life now!' and also build up the wisdom and courage to take action. The other half....we must win through courageous and persistent action. Only by taking action and be responsible for our lives can we change our situation. :)
