Sally rides the newly restored 1959 Schwinn Jaguar Mark IV. It hasn't been ridden in decades.

  • my two favorite things ... chicks & schwinns !

  • See my video. Although it is not as good of quality as yours, you can see that they were made in one of three more color offered other than black. Schwinn called those color , of course, Black. Then there were three colors that they called their "radiant" colors. These were a two step aluminum basecoat , then top coated with a transparent color coat, in either red, green, or blue. These were the closest things to candy color paints that were available back then.

    Jim.

  • Oddonetto! Very nice machine you have there. These bikes are my niche. That is the 1959-1962 Mark IV Jags. These were the years they were made. I have four of them. One is a restored original green color custom 5 speed derailleur equipped bike from 1961. I also have a black 3 speed 1959, like yours. I also have a close to mint all original 1961 radiant red 2 speed "kickback" coasterbrake model, and a bright radiant blue 1959 3 speed one that is currently being restored by me. Keep it lookin good

  • really cool bike. Such amazing design

  • Ride Sally Ride! BTW, you mean 1959, not 1951, like my Hudson... DK
