  • As a Baptist, I believe in a thorough separation of church and state - the two cannot intertwine themselves...

  • Gary DeMar believes in separation of state and church too.

The state should not control the church or vice versa.

However, we do not believe in the separation of God and state or the abandonment of civil politics by godly Christians. It sounds like that is what you are advocating.

Please tell me I am wrong!

  • You speak as though separating Church and State is somehow different from separating God and State.

God NOR Religion have no place in government we have NO IDEA who speaks for God.

I do not believe you speak for God and, dollars to donuts, I'll bet you don't think I speak for God either.

    God belongs in your heart.

THE LAW AND SCIENCE belong in Government, Courts AND Classrooms.

  • Here is the difference.

Either the Christian God exists or He does not. It is black or white.

Religion comes in many shades of gray, however, so no one Christian denomination should control civil policy.

  • Although I like most of what Mr. DeMar said, who said that Satan is the god of this world? and what does that mean? Although II Corinthians 4:4 refers to the god of this world, it does not indicate that the Devil is that god, although he could be. Some use that word (god) there to mean ruler. But Psalm 96:5 indicates that the gods of the nations are idols, not necessarily rulers.

  • GOOD WORD \...

  • @YoungCalvinist08 Does that mean that you don't vote? That it is wrong to call a legislator? To participate in a political discussion? If you even vote, you are being inconsistent (didn't want to use the h word).

  • ". . .so no one Christian denomination should control civil policy."

Your statement contradicts itself. Is Christianity the only religion? The Constitution protects both religious and non-rellgious persons. They both should be able to create - not control - civil policy.

  • He hit the problem squarely where it belongs...with the Christian clergy...Christianity has been so watered down that it's not recognizable any more...and I'm a Christian. We're to have dominion, not sit back and watch our world fall down around our ears. What will we say to our Savior when we meet him..."I was just waiting for your to come Lord? I could have cared less what was happening around me." Think Christ will like that response? No!

  • too intellectual and not enough spiritual matter. Sad.

  • Dispensationalists have a problem with applying Law to the Civil Government? Really? Which laws do Theonomists apply to that level? They have no agreement on what applies to the Civil Magistrate from the Law of Moses.

"They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm." 1 Timothy 1:7

  • @paleocrat Catholics believe in the transubstantiation, which I have a problem with. It is pretending, magic, and non biblical vodoo. To say that some wafer made in a factory in new jersey, turns into anything other than what it, is is silly. God doesn't produce miracles on demand for anyone. To say that the wafer turns into the flesh of Christ is nonsense

Let's test one that has been changed, and see if its molecular structure changed in any way. Nothing would have changed. wanna bet me?

  • AMEN brother! Maranatha!

  • The only modern president who tried to really help the USA and get rid of the wicked Federal Reserve was JFK, a catholic who was killed by his own so called Christian country. As for morons like Bush and Pat Robertson who claim to be the Voice of God for the USA, ouch!
