While the commercial release of "Only the Lonely" in 1982 from the All Four One LP was the hit, I think the earlier version from the unreleased Apocalypso LP deserves to be heard and seen as well. I revamped the video to fit the earlier version. I apologize if not all the snycronization is perfect. Martha Davis is a brilliant song writter and one of the best singers out there.

  • I like this version...so cool!

Does anyone miss Sax solo's in music....what has happened? People forget how to play wind instruments for goodness sake!

  • @debthemango

Wanna' hear some cool Sax music? Check out Morphine-"No cure for pain" and others. Cool group very original.

If you play the Saxophone you've got to be cool, remember Quarterflash? They had a top-notch female Saxophonist! What about Candy Dulfer.

Got to be the sexiest sounding instrument ever created you know.

  • Very good version.

  • Grande cancion Sencillamente inolvidable.....Solo el solitario.....The Motels

  • The vocal on this sounds very cool.

  • I was 13 when this song was released and it was one of the reasons I wanted to learn to play the sax, I never heard this version and I love it more than the orig., thank you for posting!

  • Definitely worth listening to if you love this song, but only once for me.

  • her vocals sound like cheap reverb was used and she's singing in a garage.

  • It's not that they forgot about the wind instruments it is simply that a lot of bands today do not know how to incorporate them into today's style of music; which is sad and controlled by the crowds who do not know what GOOD quality music actually is and should be. :(

  • Rip the audio from this song at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • Martha is amazing indeed and you're a gentleman and scholar for working so hard on this, but this track is lame compared the the original one in the video.
