This is a great story and there are many more like this that the ASPCA helped bring back. Check out From War Zone to Real Home. These dogs have given the soldiers unconditional love and hope during their darkest hours. They become family, just like we all consider our pets our family. Truly inspiring. Lava is a beauty, I'm so glad he's home!

I have just returned from a country in the Middle East and it broke my heart how the animals were treated.. Thank you for posting your comment about the work the ASPCA has done, it's great to know that some of these dogs are finally loved and safe.
