Road Test - 2010 Nissan Cube Krom

Let's take a look at the Krom edition of Nissan's quirky answer to Scion--the Cube. The styling is odd, but goes just far enough to work, however it does present some annoying drawbacks. On the road the powertrain leaves a bit to be desired, but the fuel economy is rewarding.

I rented one of these for a week a few months back (not a Krom, it was a base model with the CVT, cruise control, manual AC, etc.). I was amazed at how good it was to drive. It feels big as a house inside, but it's tiny and maneuverable. No, it's no sports car, but it gets around OK and the ride is fantastic.  I didn't think I was going to like it when the rental company handed me the key, but by the end of the week, I wanted to go out and buy one.

fold down the back seat and get your mountain bike in. the flimsy piece is called cargo cover.
