"On location in Hamburg with Wolfgang Palm" is a little 'vintage style' documentary we did in April 2010, showing Wolfgang Palm, former owner of the PPG Synthesizer company, inventor of the world's first digital synthesizer and wavetable synthesis, in front of historic 'PPG locations' in Hamburg, talking about the old times... Directed & idea by CS.
This is part 3 of 3 with English voice overdubbing for international PPG fans. There is also a version with original audio in German language.
English voice & translation by Darrin C. Huss, voice of Psyche.
This is a great little documentary thanks for sharing it :)
It is a shame that so many synth designers and manufacturers back then went down the pan. I suppose looking back now it seems inevitable that these kind of products would only be fashionable for so long but it is quite a sad state of affairs to see that only the big Japanese manufacturers survived and only by making boring by the numbers products.

I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be a happy story. I loved my Wave 2.2 and used to dream about owning a complete system. So, what's next Wolfgang?
