Cataclysm Beta, how runes work

http://pwnwear.com the top DK tank site. Showing how death runes and runes cycle. Simple explanation, using outbreak, two death strikes, then heart strikes. You can see the lockouts. Runic Empowerment would help give you some randomly recharged runes if you get a rune strike and it procs the RE random chance.

Also shows what happens when you miss, the 50% faster recharge.

It always looks to be 10s apart, in sequence. I have not found any condition under which the "second tank" concept, or the 200 rune power idea, actually works. I remember GC saying that the second rune acts like a reserve, but I just don't see that happening.

I looking at this table and seeing the skills you demonstrated are at the higher level end of the table.Why would we be asking questions about the rune and runic power system if we already are completely familiar with the higher level moves that use that system? Try to show off what moves deplete which rune, what is the death rune, how to fill and use runic power (abielt this isn't the right video for that), and show off any xs to this system such as empowered rune swords ability.

Even after reading the blue post on this, I have no idea what made them decide to make this change. I personally think this is a terrible change, things are staying on cooldown way longer because of the runes and I see this creating problems for tanks. From the blue post, it seems more like it's a change made for dps roles.

How has this effected your tanking?

Everyone seems to be getting a reduction in damage lol in some shape or form. Maybe they'll fix scourge strike and other things to not hit like shit? Unless that is your tank gear and you hit harder?
