Great song from a great band, from the Glam Rock era!!
The song reached #4 on the UK singles chart in 1974.

Taken from 'Memories of Pop Favourites' old'or collection double CD set. Track 15 CD 2

I heard of this band and this song for the first time last year on youtube. So I can't say a lot about them personally other than I liked what I heard!! Then recently I was fortunate enough to find a mixed collection of old songs with The Glitter Band's Angel Face on it !! And I was thrilled !! So here is my video for the song, with pics of this great glam band! There are many great live performances of this song also on youtube! (and on my friends channels)

"The Glitter Band are a glam rock band from England, who initially worked as Gary Glitter's backing band under that name from 1973, when they then began releasing records of their own. They were un-officially known as the Glittermen, on the first four hit singles by Gary Glitter, from 1972 to 1973. 'The Glitter Band', had seven UK Top 20 hit singles in the mid 1970s, and three hit albums. They have existed on and off since with various line-ups, and there are currently two bands featuring original members who use the name."

Thanks for posting this. It's always great to hear The Glitter Band. However, I should point out that this is a (very good) re-recorded version of this song. It isn't the original hit single.
