There certainly would be a lot more motive to keep the great contributors to a more advanced society safe from barbarians, to keep empire large and safe and harbor armies and lure battles back to an ambush using the sphinx to indimidate opponents.

A pyramid with all those "hiding places" would be a great defensive military structure to guard the pharoh and even hide him under ground. Archers could stand on each block and even reload and hide weapons in the rooms on the corner. The inside rooms are so tight you could only send in 1 at a time.

@francistansecoDOTcom The Bosnian "pyramid" exists only in the minds of pseudo-scientists.

Kuddos on 8 years of research and hypothesis construction. Still not a single piece of "ramp" evidence on the entire Plateau.

That the notch isnt larger isn't surprising - wouldnt they have backfilled it with stones in order to complete the pyramid? If the notch now is visible, it could be because they filled such notches last, and they didnt have the structural perfection as the rest of the pyramid, and thus they either wore away with time or later human interference.
The room beyond the notch might have been larger at some point, again, before they backfilled it when finishing?
