FYI: In Mitral Regurgitation blood flows backward through the "mitral valve" into the LA during "systole". It causes a high frequency Swishing sound similar to (Aortic regurgitation but occurring during systole rather than diastole). It is transmitted most strongly into the LA but since LA is located very deep in the chest it is very hard to hear it directly over the atrium. Best location to hear "Mitral Regurgitation murmur" is at the "APEX" of the heart located at the 5th intercostal space.
how to report this ??
