Proof that 'easy listening' can really be art. Mention has to be made of the mind-boggling arrangement by the great Wally Stott, later Angela Morley.

depths and heights pleasing the populous may need managing but an artists like this would move out of the controlling zones.

A voice like this, he was totally mismanaged.

Toni Fisher so rules.

With a few Bond string segments this could have been a good James Bond Movie Theme.

He is absolutely amazing. Neill Hannon from The Divine Comedy is obviously a fan to pretty similar. Sweet vocals though...

@psychodamned Scott takes this version to another level, something he didnt always achieve with the Jerry Butler covers. Arnie Potts

I absolutely love the "psychedelic phase-shifting" original by Toni Fisher. I had heard about this version but thought I would never get to hear it - which had been raved about by others. Now I can see why. Psychedelic or not this cover is amongst the very best - Vicki Carr, Rafey, Farrar, The Letterman and even Del Shannon. This beautiful, eerie futuristic song was WAY ahead of its time!
