Don't use powdered anything in a pool. I learned my lesson the hard way. I used a calcium based shock n' swim type thing from Wal-Mart and it turned the water milky. I only use liquid chlorine now and it keeps the water crystal clear. Be careful when pouring it in though. If you pour a lot in at a time it'll sink to the bottom and eat a hole in the pool. Keep the pump on and have someone stir the water aruond. Good luck!

I just ordered an Intex pool. what size is this one? It seems pretty sturdy! What chemicals do you use with it to keep the water nice?
