Silver Mountain Christmas Trees has more than 3,500 acres planted in Christmas Trees, and developed the Silver Mountain Christmas Tree Nursery, the newest and largest Conifer Seedling Nursery in the Pacific Northwest. The farm also harvest approximately 250,000 trees each year, shipping fresh Christmas Trees throughout the U.S. and the world.
Seeds developed in our own seed orchard are planted using our Vacumn Precision Seeder. During the production of the first two years, the roots will be properly trimmed using our Reciprocating Undercutter Wrencher and our Lateral Root Pruner. All three of these machines were developed for our own use and are now sold throughout the world to other nurseries.
At two years of age, the Christmas Tree Seedlings are dug up from the ground, graded, packaged, and planted in the fields. Those for sale or later planting are stored in refrigerated coolers or freezers, depending on the length of time they need to be stored.
