Chaff collection costs 3 seconds. All collections are justified. The time for any collection in this run is always outweighed by the time saved from using the collectable(s)

The Dwarf Gekko are susceptible, albeit surprisingly to Stun Grenades. They need to be thrown very close to them though & it can alert all the others too. Alternatively, dispose of them with the likes of the XM25 or even better, the MGL-140. This can also alert attention, but if used correctly it could save Chaff usage.

Either rolling or ducking can be used to pass under the large door in the Tank Hanger. Both times are equal.

The method used at the Canyon is equal to a straight line run through with a running Chaff throw. This allowed a Chaff to be conserved for later. You can shoot the first Gekko, but the far one will turn to see the explosion & trigger an Alert. Vice Versa is not a problem.

I did experiment with cutting the corners on the upper walkway in the Nuclear Warhead Storage BLDG by rolling across the gaps. Unfortunately it just adds time.

Rolling past or shooting the Gekko in the head produce the same time. Either option is good.

Camo Index is increased by lying on the floor after destroying the Gekko. Thanks goes to a certain Japanese friend of mine. :)

Is the brief MGS1 counted in the final clock tally? And if so, why don't you show it?

No. The MGS1 section isn't added to your time, hence it's removal.

So lemme get this straight, when you fire a weapon, the enemy is attracted to where the bullet hits and not to the muzzle itself?

It's dependant upon the distance between you & the enemy.

@nyboy1046 - A very simple method ( but time-consuming, about 30min ) is, to crawl under the truck and wait for her. Ignore the haven-troopers and concentrate on the Beast. My weapon of choice would be the M14 sniper-rifle with silencer, so the troopers can't hear you firing. The beast often walks slowly in the background, left to right or vice-versa. Hit her, and she will open her canopy, to aim and shoot at you. This is your chance, to give her headshots that take a lot of her life.
