Our community is blind to mental illness. We shut it down and attribute it to being lead by the devil, overly sensitive or just hard headed. All the men and women in graves, jails and on the streets suffer from some pain or mental illness. If we focus on mental health more than adding more cops to the streets or overcrowding in the jails, lives would be saved. We're already strong, all we need now is compassion and focus.
