dr. house, you are the best.

stand them on end and make a bunch of small cuts till you have what you want cut out

Another way to make these is to use square section wood cut into different lengths, which are then glued to make the various shapes. It doesn't need large saw cuts and works better than making the cube entirely from unit cubes. See video response: "Make a 4x4x4 wood cube puzzle"

have you ever tryed to make a harry potter wand?

Hey Steve, Duane Flower here again. I like those wooden puzzles. My son (also a wood worker) had built the "Century Cube" puzzle. It was very hard to solve, So I made a video of how to solve this puzzle. He really had to make precise cuts to build this puzzle. All the problem things you mention in this video, he experienced. Take a look at Solve the wooden block century cube puzzle

hi stevi, you can actually make this at your table saw by cutting the pieces, verticaly on the saw.Anyway all your videos are very informative and i like that you are humbled you don't have any ego on your videos.I am very happy for you.keep up the good work.

I think I'll stick to trying the bandsaw box. As soon as you said the words "accuracy" and "straight cuts" I knew I was rather screwed.

@4:00 - Why not flipping the piece on its side and adjust the height of the table saw blade?
Anyways, great video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks,
P.
