there nice and all but there not recomended for a "1st bird" they can get cranky easy and chuk a temper tantrum, ours do it some times if we have to take there fav toys out of its cage, not to mention they have probly the most painfull bite of any parrot. if you like these birds than buying a greenie might be a better choice, not trying to put people off them just i hate seing people bring them back to pet shops becuase they have bitten there kids or something.
I have one of these smart angels (rainbow lori). Her name is Lucky and she is pushing 8 years old now. I look after her well. Her partner of 8 years ( red neck lori) sadly passed away recently. It was a sad day for all of us esp Lucky, they both got along so well. The ate together, slept cuddled up one another and even bathed by taking turns.I have noticed she is developing more of the white prickly things around her neck when i scratch her. What could they be? are they bad?
Haha i love it how the Left one pushes the right one out of the way so he can spread his feathers out. What a pair of beautiful Lori's. You see so much of these in Australia.
I have a green nape lory named Nikki. She will be 2yrs. old on March 12, 2010. They are wonderful pets! I am crazy about my Nikki! I am in Toronto, Canada.
Oh my! They r so beautiful. I like how the one kinda pushes the other one over so it can show its feathers!!! What a couple of Hams!!! Lol Thanks for the smile!!
