http://mutantville.com - This past weekend, the Mutantville Players made the trip to Durham to the only theatre showing George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead in North Carolina.

Along the way, we decided to talk about how Romero's works have influenced and inspired us over the years. In this clip, Brento talks about his experiences with Romero's sequels in the Dead series: Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and Land of the Dead.

We mentioned Deadpit.com during this discussion, so we thought it best to remind everyone to go to Deadpit.com and check their ARCHIVES section. You will find the single best interview with George A. Romero from last October. Enjoy horror talk radio at it's finest. Tell 'em Streebo sent ya!

For our full review of George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, please watch the MVP Review: George A. Romero's Dairy of the Dead.

Thanks for watching.

  • Awsome dudes! I saw Land of the Dead when it premiered here in Sweden and it was awsome man. The first one i also saw was Day and then Dawn so i had to see Night. The best of all the 5 in opinion is Day. One question: Why didn't you talk about Night? The only thing we see is a picture at the end (which i have on a poster over my bed). I just wondering what you think of it. "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth."

  • Day is one of my favorites as well. Sometimes it steals the top spot from Night of the Living Dead. At the moment Diary of the Dead ranks highly behind those two. Johnny Brento didn't talk about Night of the Living Dead - but there is a clip where Streebo talks about the zombie classic. If you check the related videos bar to the right or in the MVP profile account you will see MVP Retro Review: George A Romero's Night of the Living Dead.

    Thanks for watching!
