My Mom offered me this game at my birthday in 2004, since then iv been in love with this game, imagine Revenant II with some feautures.

Interesting to see this video again. It's been almost ten years since we finished the game, and well.. I thought it turned out pretty well. Playing it now, it's really fun. I love the way the combat turned out, and the boss fights. I'm at Lucas Arts now and most of the other staff are still in the industry working at EA and other studios. @AndySlayer as far as i know no mode or fan-made files exist, it was a good game it's still 1 of the few games of the old days that i still wanna play every now and then. Really hope that there would be a revenant 2 but hehe more than 10 years have past.

I agree with most of people here...I love this game, the action, the story, and the humor. I love the combination of the magic powers, weapons and armor. If this game ever come out again, I will make sure I make enough backup copies to last me for decades.

The story: ancient emperor conquers the world with the aid of an evil god, but when the god asks for his beloved as a sacrifice, he flips him off. He dies and spends eternity in hell. Thousands of years later a wizard revives him as a Revenant and sends him into a mission to save the local lords daughter.

But she looks suspiciously like his lost love and he is having flashbacks about his past. And just when he is about to rescue her....

I wished that more games had the combination of cool boss fights, self-deprecating humor, fight game mechanics and magic system as The Revenant.

Cosidering all the remakes and sequels as of late, this would be a great game for today's console. That and Space Rogue.

@theliberator1 The reality of Revenant was worse. There WAS a heaven, but only after spending time in ragnarok (which was like hell and purgatory combined) for sins (with the time trapped there depending ones sins) you were released. But then, the Gods who supervised this (and let people out of purgatory) died, or left, don't remember. Long story short; EVERYONE was trapped for eternity upon dying, for even the best had some minor sins. I remember so well because it gave me the chills then.
