2011 Live performance by Shere Thu Thuy singing "Prisoner of love"

It was 25 years ago when this song "Prisoner of love" was recorded back in 1986 and was a hit in Korea. Prisoner of Love was re-released in America in 1989. In that year, this song, became recognized nationally and internationally. There is another live performance of this song, on you-tube, which Shere did in Boston back in 1990. However, 25 years later this version. The original version, written by Shere's brother Alan Nguyen proves to hold well through the test of time, particularly with the 80's enthusiasts of Italo Disco. At midnight late Sunday night on Sept 18th 2011 Shere Thu Thuy performed to an audience of 200 people, mostly fans and friends from facebook. Off and on there were 20 to 40 people on the dance floor while others just kicked backed and enjoyed the show from their seats. This video was taken at the Bleu, in Westminster CA, on Sept 18th 2011. The performers on stage, from left to right is Nonnie Cheri, Shere Thu Thuy, Jill Mcdonald and Dj Italo James. The video filmng was produced by Shere's brother Alan Nguyen and edited by Eric Teggers. Note: Towards the end of the video you can see Shere saying Happy Birthday girl. That Birthday girl is Shere's dear friend from facebook named Lucy Tran. After the fith song, shere brought Lucy on stage to personally sing happy birthday to Lucy. It was very touching to see them together.
