Fitting the front mudguard and fender struts , Fabricating headlamp brackets to look like classic strut type mount , on jawa 350 638 frontend , the front fork's are longterm tempory as Jawa pressed steel fork blades are rare to get hold of and very expensive here you can see what type of forks the project need's http://youtu.be/iDIK2szlvHY, so once on the road i'll be making a set of vid's on fabricating girder forks for the c.z. project Fitting the rear light from Jawa Perak and stop and tail bulb socket conversion , Also handle bar switches from Jawa 250 / 592 /559 .indicaters will be mounted under handle bar's similar to Harley sporster style The Jawa C.Z. chassis project Dry build almost finnished . Project based on the Jawa 250 perak and c.z. 150 c using jawa 350 / 638 frame and C.Z. 250 / 485 engine similar engine to c.z. / 455 . yamaha fazer monoshock . Next job is chain guard before fitting a vape electronic batteryless ignition with 12 volt electrics .

  • That cover idea of yours is brilliant, it'll really complete the bike and make it look great! You're making a fantastic bike there, I can't wait to see the end result

  • @AdrianMuravey Hi thank's for letting me know about the cover it's saved me thinking about it :-) The chain tension is'nt too bad , i'll point it out in the next vid it will be easy to show you this way .

    Cheer's Terry

After briefly checking for compatibility, I think I've given you bad advice. The Jawa carb covers have a different line where they sit on the engine block. It's more round, as opposed to the straight line of the CZ covers. I think a Jawa cover won't fit on your engine.

My apologies. But the bike really looks ok to me in that area. How's the tension on the chain when you ride over a bigger bump?

We're all anxious to see your next video :)! All the best!

  • Hi Mick

Thank's for the comment on the fabrication comming from another custom builder is a great complement .

All the best Mick , Terry

  • nice grinding tecniques terry ,you always suprise me with your capibility to fabricate one of parts, nice one terry ,take care .mick

  • @AdrianMuravey Hi . Yes i agree with you now about the shock i think it look's nice left open . The other thing i may try as you suggest is the jawa carb cover , i can imagine it would look nice with the curve shape at the back e.t.c. ,

Thank's for your suggestions its good to have other opinions . Cheer's Terry

  • Bike's coming along nicely, Terry. Can't wait to see your next video!

I still think the open shock absorber looks quite alright. As I've said before, it might prove fruitful to look into some Jawa (1960's 250cc models perhaps, i.e. 353) carburettor covers. These have a more rounded and closed shape towards the air filter intake, which might be what you're looking for. It would give the engine a nice "finish" in that area and might spare you the extra headache.

All the best and keep crackin'!
