@diogornuto :caro diogornuto...nell'ossobuco ci va il vino bianco amabile...now i'll translate in your language: dear diogornuto, to cook ossobuco u have to use white wine not too dry, it's better if u find a white wine from lomellina area, near pavia, italy...ossobuco is cooked only in the pan, adding some "brodo di carne" ( boiling water with some meat and carrots and celery and a little bit of salt)...

Port wine? Isn't it better with a DRY red? Who wants a sweet sauce like that? Big mistake....sorry.
