What are these things like for gaming?

If people are worried about the noise: All of the revos are whisper quiet. I have the 1600, 3610, and the 3700, and unless you disable the smart fan (to overclock it or something), you can't even hear it. Absolutely love acer for their line of Revos!

have you tried 1080p mkv? (or 720p?)
-
Have you tried playing 1080p video on your Revo AR3700? If so how did it perform?

i saw the add and i immediatly went to press the X to close it then i realized it was on your tv. Thumbs up if you thought the add was real.

does this get dangerously hot when you work it hard?

@domdomdom1993 Running Chrome, CoreTemp, Notepad, 1080p TV from DVR in WMC, 1080p on Youtube and HD on Netflix (720p?), the cores are @ 98% w/ temp @ 140F.
I stopped the Youtube video and the cores are running 28%-54% load at 135 degrees F.
I stopped Netflix and cores @ 17%-24% load w/ temp @ 126F.
I closed WMC and the cores @ 1%-4% w/ temp @ 117F.
My normal use is 1 video + a web browser. It works great for that, but if you add a 3rd app, performance noticeably suffers. I hope that helps.

@ the 6:09 mark what browser/program makes your pages do that?
lilcharlesG2005 7 months ago
@lilcharlesG2005 Do what? I'm not sure what you're referring to at 6:09. Right before that I was using Windows 7 [Alt] + [Tab] and then [Windows Key] + [Tab] to cycle through all the open windows. The web browser being used in the clip is Google Chrome.

I'm considering buying it, but have you tried playing Hulu in full screen? I've read complaints about that though I think that was just some problem with the flash player.

@obtrunco I had never tried Hulu. I work for Comcast so I have all their stuff no charge. But I just tried it and Hulu looks pretty bad on it. I don't know if it is the computer or Hulu, but the video is really choppy looking and selecting a recent episode of Fringe, I saw no way to select HD. Even in full screen the highest option I saw available was 480p. It was definitely not smooth and it's not because of my internet connection. I have about 22mbps download speed.
