In this action-packed true story, a farm kid from Idaho leaves behind the girl of his dreams to take a life-altering journey to the primitive island kingdom of Tonga. The young man's journey soon becomes a fight for survival as he encounters first, a violent hurricane, then is washed overboard during a raging storm at sea. Through letters across the world and conversations "across the sky", he shares his amazing adventures with his girlfriend back home. When his Polynesian odyssey comes to an end, both the boy and girl have been changed forever.

@CrazySingingNote So do I! My boyfriend is actually serving his mission in the west indies, and this movie kinda reminds me of him and is also pretty similar to what i'm living right now :). Love this movie, is so full of teachings and shows what a missionary really has to face during his mission.

im waiting for a missionary right now and this movie keeps me encouraged that he is serving the lord and that genn waited pretty muchy 3 years for him that i can wait for my missionary to come home
