Me and my bro take a trip up to the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii's highest dormant volcano at 13,796 feet (4,205m), and home of 12 huge frickin telescopes. The sunset from up there was pretty spectacular, as you can see.

Sorry about the shakey shakey cam action. Next time I'm bringing a tripod.

Music:
"Auto Rock" by Mogwai
Untitled Track 1 from "()" by Sigur Ros

  • Thanks for all the appreciation folks. I've got a lot more stuff from Hawaii recorded, but I'm waiting on a new computer before I edit it all. The one I've got now is hella slow and Windows Movie maker crashes a lot :(

    Anyway, stay tuned for more!

  • It was my Mothers birthday today. She died nine years ago. I swear I just saw her again in your video. Thank Zen Archer for making it me come to look here but I thank you for giving me this.

  • My pleasure :)

  • I stopped watching this because of 240p I appreciate the upload though.

  • can you take a rental car up there? I am visiting the big island in a couple of weeks.

  • its an awesome place and this is the first time "awesome" can is really what I mean.

the silence, the silence. go there and turn everything off and hear the silence.

  • This is such a spiritual journey for me.

  • gosh that looks amazing. one day.

  • dont bring a tripod when you're usiing this kind of song. it just adds to the effect. it makes it seem less planned out. people never do this any more. people need things to be pristine and perfect. but dont. let it be.

  • great video great musik great emotions

  • hey great work with your video. i did that drive back in 92 with my best friend and his mom. she had been fighting cancer for over a year and was losing quickly. when we did that drive it was clear out there and you could see forever. that was the last time i was up there and she passed away a few months earlier. thank you for sharring this with the world. did you live out there and where.

  • I will go this summer!!!!!
