  • So how do they make all those sounds sitting absolutely still?

  • @StevenShields29

We were just that awesome that year. :p

  • Who was playing the piano?

I played this piece in college---I like it, too.

Congratulations on a truly excellent performance! (I miss not hearing the end of this.)

  • Thanks!

to answer your question, her name is Rahel Kim, a 2009 graduate of Hillcrest High School.

  • This is like, really creepy with a picture of the band just staring at us O_O. don't get me wrong, I love the piece, but creeepy~

  • Lol the actual visual of us playing wouldn't rip to my computer but I had the audio; I didn't know what else to do.

But I like this piece too! Great stuff.

  • And to think that my high school marching band played a movement inspired by this. It placed 8th nationally. I was the pianist.

  • @StevenShields29

The oboe section is playing glass crystals at the beginning. The rest is the percussion section and piano.

  • This is actually pretty good, but the percussion is really bleh.

  • no time signature? interesting. I played Velocities (marimba solo) by this guy. tough writing. but he knows his stuff.

  • Oh the french horn is so powerful in this piece

  • i cant beleive you guys actually did that song. its so hard with no time signature in it. our band director showed me and some friends this song and i was like wow dude thats amazing

  • I think it's really cool that my music teacher found this piece and is getting my class to do a listening exercise with it. Shows how awesome you guys played it.

    amazing.

  • i wish my band director would order this... i wanna play it, small band though
