Why?

@palamosteliaro you're obviously going for looks by using the G5 tower. Don't you want everything to be clean and sleek? Mac like...? I know if I was doing this, everything would be very clean cut. You can say you don't care about looks, but that kills me when the project itself is based on looks. Anyone can drill new holes for some standoffs, those who pay attention to detail and quality are the ones I admire.

I see your point. I agree that the whole point was to have a nice Powermac case instead of an usual PC case. BUT: When I got the case power button was not included. That means I had to BUY it. Also I had to BUY a compatible DVD drive so the mechanism works correctly. Even if I could find all these replacements in my country I am sure i would give these money away. But even without these extra things the goal is achieved.

As concerns appearance, apart from the power button everything is as it should be.. Not anyone can drill holes. I know a lot of guys who cant! :-) I think you should give more emphasis on the fun and creative side of the whole project. I think its more important than try to look "pro". Thats why I did this and I didn't buy an Apple Powermac.
