  • WOW! well I seriously hope that no one signs you up as a proxy. Sorry but holding someones hand and saying I'm here for you, wont make the chemical imbalance in the brain go away. The reason its a problem is because the brain isn't functioning as it should. Hearing voices that aren't there is never a good thing. It inhibits one's ability to function and take care of themselves and others, regardless of society. My grandmother was schizophrenic,

  • Yeah i'm iffy about this type of psychologist. So PROFESSIONAL about peoples minds. I'm sure his intentials are good, and he's well read, and experienced..

But like previously mentioned, how often do medications actually work!?

acceptance and loving is all i've found that works for anything really. Love it all, even if you're crazy, love that you're crazy.

I think people just get scared which makes it a "problem" I feel like that probably comes from societies label on it.

  • Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.

  • @CliveGains80s This is a serious condition. You're not being sarcastic?

  • no one can put it in the sentence. they go on for 10 minutes. even dr phil can't explain it. he just went on and on.

what every you say or do will be a an illness. do not answer anyone question. they will try anything to diagnose. if you did not shave. if you watch tv late at night. no joke. it sick.do not be hustled by these creeps. if you need time alone and someone makes call on you. watch out. you have a negative symptom.if they smirk at you smirk back. there scum!

  • I think Im showing signs of schizophrenia, and I dont know who I should tell, my wife, my father or my best friend.

  • I remember when I was young, my grandma was dating this guy, and I would hang out with him all the time and we'd play video games together like starcraft, yu gi oh, etc. But then he developped Schizophrenia and my grandma dumped him because he didn't want to take his pills. And there went my favorite childhood "friend"

  • My aunt has schizophrenia. She does come across as shy at first, but once you get to talking to her, she is a really kind and loving person who really cares about her family. She is also a very good cook :)

  • Is there ANYTHING that this guy is really certain of? I hear 'maybe' and 'sometimes' but I get the idea he isn't sure about anything to do with schizophrenia. He says 'medications that are used' and correctly does not say that they actually work: this is not known at present, and most probably they just intoxicate the patient to the point that overt symptoms disappear and the patient is no longer able to indicate that they are suffering.

  • I have a eye problem but it has been proved, (search up Visual Snow, it gets worse in sunlight and when I do exercise) and I stay in my bedroom for all of the day most of the time watching YouTube videos (sad i know, I don't enjoy doing it, it just wastes away my day). I have been suffering with anxiety & depression for years, I am extremely reluctant about going anywhere and I don't socialize or even talk to my family much, (I do want to though).

  • i have schizophrenia, and it sucks. I am on geodon and it helps but the side effects kill me. everyday i feel like i am going through withdrawls. If i am late on taking the drug ibreak out into sweats and start to get paranoid. i am also extremely tired every day.But atleast i am not hearing voices and trying to commit suicide. People should understand that with this condition we have no control over it. Every time i had an episode i never remeber what i did during that time.

  • @synthetikcheese only ignorant people use the term nut mate ... i personally am not scizophreic but i have expearianced drug induced psychosis and it is just terrible ... i wish you and your uncle all the best =]
