  • Nice! Thanks, it's great to hear Tim's tribute to Lenny, and it was great to see the slide show of Lenny. Two kindred souls...RIP Lenny and Tim

  • Glad you enjoyed it !!

  • check out NICO's version of this , it is really awesome ,,, thanks man,,

  • I love Nico's version too - that was the first one I heard!

  • Where did this version come from? The only previoous version I've heard of this was from Tim Hardin 3 (the live album), a much longer extended version. Where IS this one from?

  • @BowTieGuyUK2000 The full version 3.2 seconds is on an album called "Why did Lenny Bruce Die" I'm afraid that's all I know!

  • I've retained a friend, and I'm blessed...sunchilde68.Check him out. I need Opium and its derivatives, and I can't listen to people talk about what they don't know. But he DOES know. And how. You've all seen Hoffman in Fosse's 'Lenny'. You all heard the Nico song. Funny how ripples keep going forever...Bless.

  • I've known the Nico version of this song for thirty odd years now, but this is the better one Tim's cracked ,heartwrenching vocal just blows me away!

  • @ugmodude Seeing the Dustin Hoffman film, I got the feeling that Bruce was what Ben Elton wished he could have been in the way he delivered the monologues!

  • wow.

  • Tim Hardin's voice of sweet desolation is so powerful when he delivers this - so terrible to reflect on their respecitve ends, and how irrpelacable they were. Tim Hardin should be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in the sublime section.

  • i first heard of lenny bruce from the song "it's the end of the world as we know it." i still don't know who he is.

  • @PennyTraition yes, offensive and obscene indeed! its so very sad when the truth is silenced by removing such an intelligent and influential human being who speaks it..we have lost far too many either through maliciously organized or senseless, needless and misdirected crime..MY heart still bleeds for the pointless deaths of those wonderful souls who were our brothers and sisters, our Mothers and Fathers who wanted to help us!help us get through this hard life with a little more happiness.

  • @sunchilde68 one last four letter word for Lenny. DEAD. At forty? That's obscene.

They HAD to shut him up because he was deadly. He told the truth. My G*d, that's a crime.I prefer Tim's version to Nico's.It was the original: 'Lenny's Tune'. 6 years and Leonard Scneider went from do anything, world domiation, to dead on a bathroom floor, tied up,Aug 3rd 1966. How To Talk Dirty And Influence People To Assassinate You. May you finally have found peace,Lenny. X.

  • @PennyTraition gratitude in likes for ur touching comment would carry the number 2 great heights!I do LoVe you darling!I was right 2 share my heart with you,for you are truly special! listen 2 the deeply heart touching song filled with colors of a rich and poor soul that you have chosen 2 send me in our reflection..so beauty full, like your heart! may ripples from the pieces of time we toss together in the ocean of forever flow out, rebound off the heavens, return, and unite us in time again.XO

  • good stuff

  • @semptress Ironic that they both died from an overdose of evil heroin.
