The "Pursuit" exercise is another class assignment where we were asked to make a short movie that would introduce a character and then to show a want or need. Once established we were supposed to have them pursue something. The idea is to follow a simple three act structure without dialog. One of the great things about this particular project is that we shot on 16mm film.
Thanks to Paul Ripple for the great last minute acting. And Kyle Wade and Donald Mckinnon for their help.

Thank you sir. I appreciate the comment.
It is the first thing I've ever shot on film, so that was wicked cool.
The crew was small. You know me. Kept the crew lean and mean. I actually shot everything myself and there were two other students there helping out. Great guys.

arriflex? what filmstock? external metering? or internal camera metering?

Shot 16mm on the Arri S and used a classic hand held light meter. (new for me) To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the Kodak film stock we used. I was told the film was pretty forgiving, so I didn't spend much time focused on that. It was 100 feet so I knew I had to about three minutes of footage to tell a one minute story. I've always tried to keep my shooting ratio down, but this was the rare "one take" session.
