It does not with every author assume a pre-social state.
According to Locke, the State of Nature is not a condition of individuals, as it is for Hobbes. Rather, it is populated by families what he calls "conjugal society" These societies are based on the voluntary agreements to care for children together, and they are moral but not political.

The video was very helpful to me in understanding the notion of Thomas Hobbe's social contract.. ...... but i have another problem too if u can help me with that i will be very thankful to u.,... the problem is that i never have completly understood the general concept of social contract..

@MrArbabzeeshan social contract theory is an attempt to explain how society evolved into its modern day structure. The social contract is the a conceptual attempt to explain the formation of society. It assumes a pre-social state, a time before society and conceptualized what this state must have been like. Hobbes thinks it was brutish and violent, he classifies it as the state of nature. For Hobbes, this state is not sustainable, its too dangerous. so we opt out into society for protection.
