go bike! say no to cars!

I wish my city to drop that old vision of the future filled with roads for motorized vehicles. CITIES ARE MEANT TO BE FOR PEOPLE! NOT CARS! /sigh

they did it again :)

The point is theft and rain, motorized or not it still 2 wheeler and it doesn't come with a roof. Most Japanese stuff don't do export, but reserve for their own needs, it a real shame.

how much will all this cost, lest just say for two for those parking. Im doing report on this and I cant find any information about it. thanks

Thats on purpose. The door holds the bike standing when the mechanism that pulled it out lets go of the bike. :/
-
The bike at the end gets caught by the door!!!!

What if someone decides to go in instead of the bicycle? Wouldn't that be fun?

How much will this bullshit cost?

@fgzf No, not giant sky scrappers, medium density places between 2 stories and 8 stories, See cities in Europe. Electric rail is much more efficient then electric cars, or petrol cars, simply because more weight is used per person and more space is used per person in cars. In many American, and Australian cities around 50% of the space is dedicated either directly or indirectly to cars, in the form of wide roads often multi- lane, or car parking, then there is the pollution.

@KrunchyJD so giant skyscrapers? hmm but that would take alot of material to build them so they would be stable enough plus over time we always need more space so eventually well need to expand more and more. Electric rails r a good idea but that requires power too and right now we r at a stage where power is either rly dangerous (nuclear power) or really dirty (coal power) so i guess there r not alot of choices other then make something new

@fgzf No, what I am saying is that where possible we need to build more density into cities and remove car access. We need to promote mixed development with buildings with shops on ground floor and apartments above. We need to design cities with walkable/ bikable distances in mind. Where longer trips are necessary we should focus more on efficient electric rail. What this means is that you could get nearly everywhere you wanted to go by walking, cycling or catching a train.
what if someone falls in there. or get stuck in there?

2 wheels are more of a problem when it comes to theft.
So what about moped & motorcycle parking as well?

@Guessagainkk the bicycles in japan is widely used , and this solution is only for them , motor bikes is not widely used there , so , they dont make a real problem , and for cars , they found a great idea for them , i might upload a video one day
