Lola ~ The Kinks

LOL Found this wonderful little clip through public domain www.pdcomedy.com it's called "A war with the Army" with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. Initially Dean Martin sings a song which is not in the clip, well Jerry decides that he is going to dress up like a woman and in a bar he sings the or should I say murders the same song that Dean sang before. He finds someone in the bar to sing to. I added a feature song "Lola" by the Kinks is was so befitting LOL hope you get a giggle.

@60srecords Ray Davies is the writer of the song "Lola" I do see the resemblance in his photo though as to why you may think that. The actors in the movie "At War With The Army" starred Dean Martin who played 1st Sgt. Vic Puccinelli and Jerry Lewis played Pfc. Alvin Korwin. Its a cute movie you can even find a clip of the movie on YouTube. Hope you enjoyed the clip :-)

Many thanks guys and thank you for your comments :-) Gerry Lewis is amazingly funny, used to watch him all the time when I was a kid, he always made me laugh, and totally loved the song as well.

Was out karaoke-ing last night and funny enough my hubby, decided he was going to sing this song :) such a classic song and it gets everyone singing which is the best part. So glad you enjoyed it !

@dec2034, the reason there are 2 versions of this song because originally the Kinks used the line "taste like Coca Cola", the Coca Cola company prohibited them from using the company name so they had to change that line to Cherry Cola.

Love this song, but there is another version on You Tube that says she dranK Coca Cola instead of Cherry Cola! I wonder how much Coke paid them to make the change!
