sally's song on oboe (from nightmare befor christmas)

im just now learning how 2 play the oboe and ive never had lessons so try not 2 say anything bad if u dont like it.

not really, its just the reed is hard to get a good sound out of...

compared to the clarinet how hard is the oboe? Ipick up instruments fast, like i play the flute clarinet piccolo tenor sax and alto sax. So yeah..

I tried the schools oboes but they are not in working order...

the oboe is not all that hard but the reed takes some getting used to....

i started playing the oboe 3 days ago and its going good. the reed is hard to play on and it is a much harder insturment 2 play compared to the flute

I have played oboe for 3 years and have loved it .I also pick up instruments fast ,I actually learned clarinet ,soprano sax and flute in like a week.it isent hard but you have to have a good reed(not the ones from the local music store)and an oboe that is in good shape .I played a terribly cracked one for 1 and a half years .it sucked.

pretty good. the tone needs some work though. i love sallys song on oboe because if you listen to the soundtrack from nightmare, its the instrument its played on in the beginning =) such a haunting sound.
