PERMANENT WAVES (1980) marked the starting point for Rush's full-blown entry into condensed, accessible progressive rock. They abandoned the 20-minute suites and mystical lyrics for catchy progressive song structures, and more human, worldly-related topics. But, Geddy Lee (vocals/bass/synths), Alex Lifeson (guitars) and Neil Peart (drums/lyrics) didn't lose their brilliance in composition, even if most of the track lengths were fit for radio. ENJOY! ;o)

gods of classic prog!!

Just the endings of almost EVERY one of RUSH's songs are better than most music now-a-day...

Pissed off the camera didn't catch the drum flourish starting at 3:23.

4:31 Geddy's playing foot pedal keys. Pretty cool.
Those idiots who say that Alex sucks need to get kicked in the junk..great performance!

This is truly the greatest band ever. Each of the 3 are the best or one of the best in history at playing their respective instruments. This concert in Frankfurt is probably the best I have ever heard RUSH perform and they were all in their early 50's at the time. Truly AMAZING!
