His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass - Official Teaser

steampunk, witches, pirates, polar bears? wtf?

I have never read the book and I had never heard of the golden compass until they came up with the movie but ,I found it extremely boring ,I was about to leave the theater where this movie was being exhibit because I couldn't bear watching it anymore. How disapointing it was for me the ending was rubbish I think everyone was expecting something better from the ending.

The books were good. Don't expect them to make either of the other two books into movies tough. Waay waay to taboo.
They did a fair job on this movie though; of course not as good as the book but still good.

great movie but it think that they could have picked a better lyra. she seems too stiff and lyra is more of a carefree girl from the books i've read. but overall great movie :3

Not a book for kids,i read them when i was 12 and i am reading them again and i am only 13

hey there - well i guess wat im trying to say is that the themes in the story seem to be more adult like to me when i read them - im not saying it cant be for kids - but it seems to be more for older kids i guess.

when was this movie released? how come i never heard of it :S
