@dwilczyn : I would be VERY curious regarding his explanation. I've heard he believed (and taught) that the earth and universe are only 6,000 years old.

I don't think this is neither here nor there with regard to this discussion, but I remember a quote Mr. Dougherty had on his bulletin board in my 7th grade earth science class. "Science started with the word" and then there was a colored paper picture of earth. The only reason I remember this is because I brought it to his attention that he left out the "L" in world. Following this he explained what he meant by the quote. I don't remember the exact explanation he provided me with.

Correction: at 1:50, I said that Michael J. Behe is one of the foremost proponents of evolution.
Dr. Behe is a proponent of Intelligent Design.
