IS NOT "PLASTIC SOUL" BY THE K.G.B.
I promise.

Does anybody know what this song is? My sister found it a few years ago somewhere and it was apparently called "Plastic Soul," but I've found nothing about it to suggest that that's its actual name (unless it's by some really obscure group), and I haven't been able to find this song again (though I still have it, so this part doesn't matter just yet).
And believe me, I Googled various parts of the lyrics and found nothing (except my own post on Bulbagarden asking about it).

About it:

-Is NOT by The K.G.B., Shy FX, Yamazaki Masayoshi (山崎まさよし), or This World Fair.

-The only other thing about it in the file's properties regarding its origins is that it's apparently track 14.

-Is four minutes long

-Female vocals with a very vague British-like accent

-Very guitar-y

-Has a huge drum and piano bridge about halfway through

-It's sad. It's apparently about someone who's dying.

-The lyrics:

Good night, beloved life,
Oh pretty days of sunshine....
So long stars, lines, and stripes,
It's time to go.

Since nothing is for free,
No life to be continued,
I crave no guarantee,
Just time to go.

They see me through.
I see me, too.
I wish they wouldn't laugh.
I wish they wouldn't cry.

Don't leave it on your chin,
Don't wear it with your dresses.
Your death marks [something].
Don't let it show.

You speak to me within.
A silent [something] caresses
Like foreign suns and winds.
How could I know?

You see me through.
I see through you.
I wish we could've laughed.
I wish I wouldn't die.

[Drums and piano]

Good night, beloved life.
It's time to turn the lights out.
When day turns into night,
It's time to go.

Through shadows of the fall,
Oh [something] of sunshine....
I'm on my way where all
Is what you call
Silence.

You see me through.
I see through you.
I wish we could've changed,
Had all those rearranged.

Do do do
Do do do
Do do do

  • I think it's entirely possible that the song is original, and not by any well-known artist. Although, I could be wrong.

  • @tazzmaniandeville I see.... ._.

  • @doe101202 EXACTLY the same thing happened to me, have always wondered who it was! I tried the soundhound app on my iphone (it detects music) and still nothing...

  • @livelifesmusic Thank you for trying, though. :)

  • I have been wondering about this song for........3 years. I downloaded it from limewire (shh) and it said it was by the Radio Dept. Which it obviously is not. I've been trying to figure it out since!!!!!!!!

  • @doe101202 I don't hear Radio Dept. in it either, but thanks anyway. I still wish I could find the name and artist. >_<
