Your truck is pretty fast, I give you props, but I don;t think it really matters what engine you have, it matters what you do to it to make it faster.

Im saying that since it makes 347 bhp and has a power to weight ratio 13 lbs per hp, has the aero of a brick and a 4-speed auto. Using your logic a 215 horsepower automatic Civic could run 13s in the 1/4 mile, which is BS and not possible. For this to be as fast as a Mustang GT or Infiniti G35 in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 times it would need at least 430-450 horses+ to keep up since it weighs so much... the mods you put on it would not add 100 horsepower.
my 5.3 is faster

The Vortec HO 6000 or VortecMAX is a special high-output version of the Vortec 6000 V8 truck engine originally designed for Cadillac. It features high-compression (10:1) flat-top pistons for an extra 10 hp (7.5 kW) and 10 ft·lbf (14 N·m), bringing output to 347 hp (257 kW) and 380 ft·lb (515 N·m). LQ9s are built only in Romulus, Michigan. GM also listed it as based on LS architecture.
