@kk1000vid Thanks for the note. A Utility Patent grants you the right to litigqte... and limit others from using the "claims" describing your invention. While paying maintenance fees in timely fashion, you retain this advantage for the 20 year life of the Utility Patent. After that time, the invention becomes public domain and availble to all. Hopefully your product is duly established in the marketplace... for continued sales.
So after 20 years of your invention that had been patented, someone else who has similar or exact ideas has the rights to persue the claims as their patent? Is that what you meant? Or once you patented an invention, it will be your claims forever (thousand or million of years).Thank you, if you can answer me.
