But make sure not to equate 'forgiveness' with 'stupidity'.
While Im sure that MOST marriages that end COULD have been saved, many women especially get married to nutcases who end up tormenting and abusing them and in such a case divorce is very much necessary.
Lets not pretend that in order to forgive a rapist that we have to allow them the opportunity to rape again.
Nor do we have to give a man the opportunity to savagely beat his wife in order for her to show forgiveness.
