Avril Lavinge:Knockin' On Heaven's Door (LTTE CHILDsoldiers)

12 year old S. Sathyam is also a child of Tamil parents who would have loved to celebrate their son's birthday just like Prabhakaran and his wife Mathivadhini were planning to celebrate the 20th birthday of their daughter Duwaraha in London on 4th June 2006. S.Sathyam's parents also would have liked to send their son abroad to study- just like Prabhakaran's son Charles Anthony & daughter Duwaraha. However, those unfortunate children like Sathyam face death by a stab to the heart, for not obeying the command of the LTTE terrorists to join the children's brigade- many are the unfortunate children who have suffered similar fate at the hands of a sadistic, brutal & blood-thirsty terrorist group called LTTE.

On 20th May 2006 a photo taken shows S.Sathyam's mother weeping beside the dead body of her son. Only the children of LTTE cadres have the" privilege" & luck to be educated in the west and celebrate birthdays at the expense of donations received or rather extorted from Tamils who live abroad! Anton Balasingham who claims to be the champion & chief negotiator of the LTTE movement is enjoying all the comforts and privileges of the western world by being married to a western wife and living in the west- away from the misery they have created for their own Tamil community in Sri Lanka for 30 years.

All this is for the sake of " a mythical Tamil Homeland" for terrorist warlords. The separation must clearly be made between the majority Tamil community and the terrorists. In their blood -thirsty quest for power, LTTE terrorists spare no man or woman (young or old), child, unborn child in a mother's womb, girl or boy. They use all these human beings as human shields, as targets of punishment to instill fear and demand absolute obedience to their acts of brutality.

The fundamental rights of the majority Tamil community has been violated by LTTE terrorists in the most brutal manner- not by the Sinhalese in the south. Western countries need to see and understand this very clearly- the truth as it really is!

Your children and my children- They are all children who must be respected, they are all children who must have equal rights and privileges, they are all children who long to play and enjoy childhood, they are all children who long for proper education to grow up and be meaningful citizens of Mother Lanka which is the homeland for all citizens of this country.

Let us hope that truth and justice will prevail sooner than later. Let us unite to destroy this blood-thirsty terrorist movement in the name of all that is decent and moral in this country and for the future of our children- not only the children of Prabhakaran and Thamilselvam!
