This is one of your better ones lately ;) I like it. Especially the blunt advancement/stagnation descriptive replacement for changing/unchanging. It's a so much more robust and accurate description it's obvious why he must frame it the way he did. The part on sects makes me think you (or maybe I will if I'm faster) should do one more specifically about it. "If science were like religion." And have the physics wars, the biology schism, the geology cults. "Our geology says the moon is CHEESE!"

@renegade4dio I'm just baffled that someone can think advancement is a step backwards. The conversation is on this video /watch?v=zY3NKu865w8&lc

I really like the point about the number of different Christianities, and how science is a lot more constant in that there aren't different sects of biology or physics.
oh..... first!

@no2religions it's so true. I've tried to talk some sense into this guy.
He stated that since we now have a heliocentric solar system, what was the scientific advancement of the geocentric solar system. I informed him that even though it was wrong it was a more accurate concept than his biblical flat earth hypothesis. He still doesn't get it.

@GodKillerAtheist He can't allow himself to "get it". If he did, then his whole life would be a lie. Strong motivation to play stupid, don't you think?
