The water is spring fed.Its about 63 degrees year round,so gators avoid it.

@LakersFanBoy4life Its a small little pond at the end of the river and the water is cold. I was only there once, but I dont think gators would bother going in there. I totally agree with your comment...im in NY and cant wait to move to Florida.

this water is cold stays that way year round never changes i lived in the ocala national foresst and this spring is a very nice place beutifull but dont fool yourself that water is cold

Didn't they fence it off to where you cant go on the rock anymore? I think they did..if I remember right..
