  • Nicely done. Your video, that is.

Do you have any idea what the other comments (especially the oldest two) mean? Do you agree with ripped's assessment of the D.A.'s performance? I'm not from Long Island, so I'm curious to hear more opinions.

  • I'll say this...there hasn't been any vast improvement...i'd be lying if i said yes...however, police prescence in Hempstead as a whole has increased. As for the two comments below...i guess they just don't like New York lol...That being said....Terrace Ave is still a breeding ground for drug and weapons abuse and it needs to be dealt with.

  • explain haywood. I'm interested since many have not commented on this video

  • The D.A. Katheline Rice did not do anything but paint buldings, put viddeo cameras up, but did not defuse the problem. People are being assalted and even mudered over there but Newday will not print that because it will make her (Rice) look bad. The children play in the streets, the park (Mirschel Park) was taken away, the Salvation Army rec center has become privatised, the drugs are being sold in the buldings...and funny as it seems but Rice ran for another political office...she didnt care.

  • sounds like the comments i made over a year ago hit somebodys nerve.i didntclaim to know what started problems in hempstead but since you are trying to come off with cheap comments and slurs why dont you enlighten us genius?you dont like what i said tough kittycat but guess what? it's the truth!!!!racist? white people dont live in our neighborhood WE do which pretty much make US responsible for what happens in it or how it looks.and stop interrupting if you dont have anything productive to say.

  • @jamiirali1 you have no idea what actually caused the problems to begin with. fuck garden city. fucking white racist everywhere. and if you don't like weed then go fuck yourself

  • Joe wing is cool. I grew up w him in Hempstead.

  • no hempstead really theres crime there

    !

  • I grew up in Hempstead the drugs just go underground you cant stop it so easy you have to give the kids and adults a better way out when a x drug dealer comes out of jail and they want to make a new turn in life they wont get hired so they are forced to go back to that life by selling more drugs to survive create a program where x offenders who what to change can get ahead and wont have to go back to that life to survive that's the key people it's the only way to stop the revolving door.

  • I was born and raised in Hempstead, and I feel that it has always been a "live"city.I love being from there, but I am now 40 yrs old,and live in NC,and Terrace Ave has always been rough as hell.Celebs would come from all over NY to get their drugs there, just to let you know how bad it was.But hey,if you are from NY period, you will know about Hempstead, cause we don't take no shorts out there.Daddy-O from Stet, said it's the Brooklyn of Long Island!! I love my city..please stop the violence!!!

  • hi rich, the story in your video directly affects one of my clients. would you mind getting in touch with me so i can talk about it with you? thanks in advance rich (also my name). my email is jaffelaw1@aol.com

  • @poop121 go down north franklin into garden city and you see outside cafe's with nice benches and tables outside where people can enjoy a meal. that would be nice to have in hempstead but some people would not respect for the set up they would just hang out , not puchase anything and would not let the paying older people who do purchase something sit down and relax. there would be empty cigar tobacco all over the place and then grafitti. until the mentality changes hempstead will stay the same.
