Mama Shan aka Photoshopmama. I've been teaching all levels of digital imaging at the local college for over 8 years. I'm also certified by Adobe in Photoshop (ACE since 1999). I'm learning along with you, as far as making videos and appreciate your suggestions for content as well as technical aspects of my vids. I try to make them, assuming only that you, the student viewer, only knows how to launch the program, open images, and save images. In other words -- I might be considered "long winded" by some but appreciated by others because of taking care to present the details. Enjoy & Learn!

  • i have a question that doesnt have to do with this video but does have to do with pictures and photoshop. Well my question is: How do I make a scanned picture print out with better quality and look better that the original?

  • For the most part you can't. Especially if the substrate/paper has texture. If it is an old photo torn and worn from age, like tho old sepia, you can restore it to a much better state.

  • oh ok i have another question...my friend told me she playing around with the settings with photoshop and know when she chooses a color like blue it comes out baby blue and it prints baby blue instead of blue...do you know if their is way to reset the settings so the can be default?

  • Usually there will be slight differences from color seen on the monitor to that on a print, especially with the Blue Hue. Color is seen on monitor because of Light making the color (additive space), and a print has sprayed dots of color (subtractive space)on paper. I suggest Callibrating the Monitor and the printer. You can look up How to do this in the programs or google.

  • Hi Mama I was wondering how you get the red arrow showing the closeup areas when you desplay a directory? Thanks Tim Love your tutorials.

Keep up the graet work it is deeply appreiceted

  • I put them there using the Callouts function in the Camtasia software after I have recorded. The Callouts has a variety of options including arrows, talk bubbles, text boxes and custom callouts, which are graphics you can design and import to the area. Best to use the png24 format for such graphics.

  • Thanks Rick, but it's true, for some, I'm long winded, It a small percentage of viewrs that think so. I just got scolded yesterday for it, but my response is that ....it's not going to change, my penchant for details is appreciated by more than not! It's just the way I teach! I'm a patient person and you sort of have to be a patient person to listen to my long winded self!
