Dalvinder Singh, 24
Doctor
As a medical student in Moscow, Dalvinder overcame alcoholism and soon founded the Malaysian Fellowship in the campus. He credited it to the friends who didn't see him as he was, but what/who he can be and this propelled him forward. What started off as a simple gathering of likeminded students turned into an organization of 300-strong students who are sent out yearly on medical missions to aid countries and communities in need. He has led medical teams to China, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and recently, he served in Haiti and raised funds for a school in Bihar, India. Yet despite sending missions worldwide, his focus is the orang asli (aborigine) community in Malaysia.
